This is one of those topics that never gets old, with each story inspiring tons of “awwws” and teary eyes from us hopeless romantics. I saw this great Zales ad and I figured I’d ask! So here’s my question to all of you who have been proposed to…how did he do it??

It was geeky but I wouldn’t trade my hubby’s proposal for any other.
At the time, we had home offices on opposite ends of the hall. One morning, my honey changed my screensaver to a series of vacation photos, commenting on how special the trips and our live together had been. The last frame was a marquee scroll asking, “Will You?”
Then he ran down the hall, slid ‘Risky business style’ onto his knees in front of me and popped open a little box. I was so startled I didn’t answer for a full minute (I’m rarely speechless).
When I finally mumbled yes, he surprised me again by saying he’s arranged for me to custom design my engagement ring, but he brought my birthstone as a placeholder until it was done.
We still laugh about the only time I didn’t have something to say. Thanks for reminding me of such a special time. My 3rd anniversary is in less than a month.
